Emanuel Bohbot, Social Finance Israel
Emanuel Bohbot has joined Social Finance Israel as one of the founding team members in June 2013. He led the development of Israel's first Social Impact Bond (the Social Impact Bond to reduce dropout from higher education). Emanuel is the director of the research and development department, responsible to design Social Impact Bonds which tackle a number of critical social issues in Israel.
Previously, Emanuel was the director of the research department at the Rashi Foundation, one of Israel's largest foundations which focuses on educational opportunities and reduction of welfare inequalities and, prior to joining the Rashi Foundation, Emanuel was a quantitative market researcher in a large business-oriented research institute (C.I.).
Emanuel holds a BA in psychology from the Ben-Gurion University in Beer-Sheva and an M.A in psychobiology from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He is a lecturer in statistics and research methods at several academic institutions.
Social Finance Israel (SFI) was founded in 2013 as a not-for-profit with the aim of improving the delivery of measurable social outcomes, through development and deployment of financial and social innovations.
